Induced Broadcasting Algorithms in Iterated Line Digraphs
We propose broadcasting algorithms for line digraphs in the telephone model. The new protocols use a broadcasting protocol for a graph G to obtain a broadcasting protocol for the graph L k (G), the graph obtained by applying k times, the line digraph operation to G. As a consequence improved bounds for the broadcasting time in De Bruijn, Kautz and Wrapped Butterry digraphs are obtained.

متن کاملLine-Broadcasting in Complete k-Trees
A l ine-broadcasting model in a connected graph G = (V,E), |V | = n, is a model in which one vertex, called the originator of the broadcast holds a message that has to be transmitted to all vertices of the graph through placement of a series of calls over the graph. In this model, an informed vertex can transmit a message through a path of any length in a single time unit, as long as two transm...
متن کاملBroadcasting and Scattering in Cube-connected Cycles and Butterfly Networks
The process of sending a message from one node of a communication network to all other nodes is called broadcasting when the message is the same for all nodes and scattering when each of the nodes receives a different message. In this thesis we prove several upper bounds on the time to broadcast and scatter in the Cube-Connected Cycles (CCCd) and Butterfly (BFd) interconnection networks. We use...
متن کاملLine-cast: Line-based Semi-analog Broadcasting of Satellite Images
This paper proposes a line-based semi-analog transmission scheme (Line-Cast) for satellite image broadcasting. At the transmitter, an image is compressed and transmitted line by line. Therefore, it is much beneficial to satellite applications with low onboard memories. The low delay feature also makes it possible that once a line is acquired, it can be readily coded and transmitted. Moreover, a...
